MEXICO CITY (Reuters) – Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said on Thursday he had been informed by the economy ministry that foreign direct investment (FDI) in Mexico reached $10 billion during the first quarter of 2019.

During a regular news conference, Lopez Obrador also said his government had decided not to use a stabilization fund to support state oil firm Pemex. The president was responding to questions about the health of Mexico’s finances.
