Amy Schumer has defended her decision to talk about her husband Chris Fischer being diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder to the world during her stand-up “Growing” on Netflix.

“He [Fischer] was diagnosed as high functioning autism spectrum disorder,” the 37-year-old expectant comedian shared Wednesday during her appearance on “Late Night with Seth Myers.” (RELATED: TRAINWRECK–Tampa Crowd Eats Amy Schumer Alive For Going After Trump [VIDEO])

“That’s why we both wanted to talk about it because it’s been totally positive,” she added. “I think a lot people resist getting diagnosed and even some of their children because of the stigma that comes along with it.”(RELATED: Kate Hudson Will Raise Her Daughter ‘Genderless’: We Don’t Know ‘What She’s Going To Identify As’)

Schumer continued, “Like the tools we’ve been given have made his life so much better and our marriage and our life much more manageable. I just wanted to, you know, encourage people to not be afraid of that stigma.”

“I think there’s a lot of people with autism who go undiagnosed when I think their life could be better if they got those tools,” the “Trainwreck” star explained.

At one point, the comedian said she doesn’t want make it sound like she was “so nice” because she married “someone with autism.”

As previously reported, it comes on the heels of reports that people really freaked out, and called her out for having revealed that about her husband during her latest show that started streaming on the site Tuesday. Others came to the comedian’s defense and couldn’t figure out why people were upset and instead thanked her.

“I knew from the beginning that my husband’s brain was a little different than mine,” Schumer shared. “I have to start this over because I really want to get this right because I love him very much.”

“My husband was diagnosed with what used to be called Asperger’s,” she added. “He has autism spectrum disorder. He’s on the spectrum. And there were some signs early on.”

Schumer continued, “Once he was diagnosed, it dawned on me how funny it was, because all of the characteristics that make it clear that he’s on the spectrum are all of the reasons that I fell madly in love with him. That’s the truth.”

“He says whatever is on his mind,” the actress explained. “He keeps it so real. He doesn’t care about social norms or what you expect him to say or do.”

March 21, 2019

PARIS (Reuters) – The French Senate referred President Emmanuel Macron’s top aides to prosecutors on Thursday for withholding information from an investigation into Macron’s former bodyguard, prompting the government to accuse the legislature of exceeding its powers.

In one of the sharpest confrontations in years between France’s powerful executive and its parliament, Macron’s government described the move by the opposition-controlled Senate as a “political coup”.

The Senate announced on Thursday it had referred Macron’s top aide Alexis Kohler, his chief of staff Patrick Strzoda and Lionel Lavergne, the Elysee’s top security official, to prosecutors.

It accused them of withholding information from an investigation into former presidential bodyguard Alexandre Benalla, who was sacked last year after being filmed beating up protesters while wearing a police helmet and civilian clothes.

“This is neither reasonable nor measured, this is a political coup,” government spokesman Benjamin Griveaux told reporters of the Senate move.

Prime Minister Edouard Philippe took the rare step of boycotting the government’s weekly question-and-answer session at the Senate, his office said.

The Senate has been investigating Benalla, who was fired as Macron’s security aide after video emerged of his confrontation with May Day protesters.

He was sacked only after Le Monde newspaper broke the story, prompting criticism that the president had failed to act sooner. He has also been investigated over other accusations, including that he used a diplomatic passport after he was fired.

Last month, an investigative committee of French senators said the top Elysee officials had withheld information from them during their six month investigation and recommended the case be referred to prosecutors.

Macron’s government has argued that the Senate was contravening the separation of powers by questioning decisions by the executive branch. Many experts on French constitutional law say the Senate has acted within its rights.

“This is a perfectly legitimate move by the senate’s investigative committee,” Jean-Philippe Derosier, a constitutional law expert at the University of Lille told Reuters, saying the government’s criticism was “not justified.”

Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez attacked Fox News, claiming hosts on that network intentionally called her by the wrong name.

“By the way: Fox News likes to say my name (incorrectly) as ‘Cortez,’” she tweeted Wednesday, “which I can only imagine is bc that sounds more ‘stereotypically’ Hispanic [and] probably incites more ‘anxiety’ for them.”

Ocasio-Cortez specifically mentioned Fox News hosts Laura Ingraham, Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity, referring to them as “Ingra,” “Carl” and “Hann” to drive her point home. (RELATED: Pelosi, Ocasio-Cortez Join Forces To Threaten Dems Tempted To Vote With GOP)

There’s only one problem with her accusation: it appears to be false. Tom Elliott, founder of Grabien media-clipping service, noted that in a search from the beginning of March to the current date — 20 days worth of programming — Ingraham had never once referred to the freshman lawmaker as “Cortez.”

The Daily Caller performed a similar search over the same time period and discovered that Carlson had never addressed Ocasio-Cortez by any name other than “Ocasio-Cortez” or “AOC” (which she also said was fine).

Yet another search revealed that the only possible offender was Hannity, who referred to Ocasio-Cortez by just the second half of her last name just twice in 20 days. He named her correctly, however, well over 100 times in that same timeframe, so it may be reasonable to assume that, had he actually been intending to call her by the wrong name, it probably would have happened more than 2 percent of the time.

Ocasio-Cortez’s accusation appeared to be a response to segment from Ingraham’s show Tuesday, during which the Fox News host and guest Joe di Genova accused the New York Rep. of effectively turning her accent on and off when it suited her — much in the same way that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has been noted to revert to her Arkansas accent when campaigning in certain parts of the country.

WATCH:

In spite of the context, Ocasio-Cortez instead interpreted the segment as proof that Fox News hosts are “uncomfortable” around people from different cultural backgrounds.

Cristobal brought the entire Oregon coaching staff to Tuscaloosa to attend Alabama’s practice and meet with the Crimson Tide coaching staff on Monday and then headed to Athens, Ga. to meet with Georgia’s coaching staff and attend the Bulldogs’ first spring practice, according to a source with knowledge of the staff’s trip.

Cristobal served on as offensive line coach for the Crimson Tide from 2013-16 and Oregon tight ends and special teams coach Bobby Williams also worked at Alabama from 2008-17.

What is Alabama doing here? Alabama is a national championship powerhouse of a program. Why the hell are they letting potential opponents check out their secret sauce? It makes no sense at all.

When somebody breaks into your house, do you hand them a loaded gun? No, you blast them through the dry wall with as many .223 rounds as fast as possible.

Damn, Nick Saban must be rattled after losing to Clemson. If I was a superstar coach and somebody wanted to check out my program, I’d tell them to get lost immediately. I probably would use PG-language either. (RELATED: Clemson Beats Alabama For National Title)

Yes, I understand Oregon and Alabama are in different conferences, but they could play in a bowl game. If that happens, I highly doubt the Crimson Tide and their faithful fans would want the Ducks to get an inside look at what they’re doing.

Again, this isn’t some scrub school. This is Oregon that we’re talking about here. They’ve been really good for a really long time now.

Saban must be trying to rehab his image and make people believe that he’s a nice guy. I’m not buying it. Allowing other coaches around you is insanely stupid. Why not just tweet out the whole playbook while you’re at it and save us all some time.

What a sad fall from grace for Alabama, which was once such a proud program.

P.S. Nobody cares about the Georgia visit because the Bulldogs haven’t won a title in my lifetime.

Barack Obama thinks the Duke Blue Devils are going to win March Madness.

The 44th POTUS released his bracket Thursday morning, and it’s actually not too bad. I can’t believe I’m about to say this, but my bracket shares a shocking number of similarities with Obama’s. (RELATED: The March Madness Bracket Has Been Released)

He’s got a Final Four of Duke, Michigan, Tennessee and North Carolina.

My only beef here, and it’s a big one, is the fact that he has Oregon beating Wisconsin in the first round. My man, that just isn’t going to happen. (RELATED: Watch Wisconsin Beat Kentucky In The 2015 Final Four)

I’ll have a piece later today explaining in-depth why that won’t occur, but I’m disappointed that Obama, a man who prides himself as a basketball fan, would think the Ducks have a chance. Truly embarrassing.

Say whatever you want about Obama’s time as the President, I think it’s awesome that he is a big basketball fan. We might disagree on just about everything politically, but he does seem like a guy that would be fun to kick with some beers and the game on.

I wish I could criticize him more here, but I just can’t. Our brackets are too similar. So, in this case, major props to Obama (other than his Wisconsin pick) for knowing what’s up.

Democratic 2020 presidential candidate and former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper questioned why female 2020 candidates weren’t being asked if they would consider male running mates.

Asked by Dana Bash if he would vow to put a woman on his presidential ticket, John Hickenlooper replied, “Of course,” and then said, “How come we’re not asking, more often, the women, ‘Would you be willing to put a man on the ticket?’” #CNNTownHall pic.twitter.com/AC7hWtyZ7D

CNN’s Dana Bash asked Hickenlooper at a presidential town hall Wednesday, “Governor, some of your male competitors have vowed to put a woman on the ticket. Yes or no, would you do the same?” (RELATED: Former Colorado Governor Joins Growing List Of 2020 Dem Hopefuls)

“Of course,” Hickenlooper replied. He then proceeded to ask Bash a question of his own: “How come we’re not asking more often the women: ‘Would you be willing to put a man on the ticket?’”

His question was met with silence from the audience.

“When we get to that point, I’ll ask you that question,” Bash responded.

A spokesperson for Hickenlooper, Lauren Hitt, addressed criticism towards the Hickenlooper’s question on Twitter, attempting to clarify Hickenlooper’s intended arguement, “Making the point that the media too often discounts the chances of women winning the nomination themselves.” (RELATED: Is There A Place For Moderate John Hickenlooper In A Democratic Party That Embraces The Green New Deal?)

Several other male Democratic 2020 presidential candidates have encountered the same question regarding their vice president selection.

When asked if he would consider a female running mate, former Democratic Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke said, “That would be my preference.”

Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders expressed that he will be looking for a young female candidate upon announcement of his 2020 presidential bid.

“I think we would look for somebody who is maybe not of the same gender that I am, and maybe someone who might be a couple of years younger than me, and somebody who can take the progressive banner as vice president and carry it all over this county,” Sanders said to the Young Turks. “I’m not going to box myself in, but should I become [the presidential nominee], you know I’ll be looking to women first.” Sanders continued.

New Jersey Democratic Sen. Cory Booker stated outright that “there will be a woman on the ticket,” to reporters last week.

Derek Carr is the only quarterback from the 2014 draft still with the team that took him.

Carr was selected by the Raiders and hasn’t played for any other team. The other 13 quarterbacks have all left their original teams or flamed out.

ProFootballTalk reported the following on the disaster that was the 2014 NFL draft:

While Carr is the only one still with the team that drafted him, four are currently plying their trade in the Alliance of American Football: First-round pick Johnny Manziel, fifth-round pick Aaron Murray, sixth-round pick Zach Mettenberger and sixth-round pick Garrett Gilbert.

Other than Carr, Garoppolo and Bortles, first-round pick Teddy Bridgewater is the only quarterback from the 2014 draft who’s still in the NFL.

What an atrocious draft year for quarterbacks. How did it go so wrong for so many of them? A total of 14 were picked, and only three of them have experienced any kind of success. You can bump that number to four if you stretch a bit and included Bridgewater, who is on his third team down in New Orleans.

Obviously, Manziel was supposed to be a big-time player in the NFL and only lasted two seasons with the Cleveland Browns.

Of all the guys on that list, I think it’s fair to say he was the most disappointing. He’s trying to get it turned around in the AAF, and we’ll have to see how that goes. (RELATED: Johnny Manziel Signs With The Memphis Express In The AAF)

There’s still no doubt his NFL career was an utter disaster.

If you had told me Carr would be the only one on his team a few years later, I never would have believed you. Welcome to the world of the NFL, it’s a crazy place and things go wrong all the time.

For the vast majority of the guys taken as quarterbacks in the 2014 draft, things didn’t go well at all.

Six people have been killed and 30 are seriously injured after a chemical plant explosion in eastern China on Thursday.

Occurring at around 2:50 p.m. local time, the blast at the Jiangsu Tianjiayi Chemical factory, which produces fertilizer and pesticides, created a fireball and billowing clouds over the industrial park area in Yancheng, Jiangsu, province, according to BBC.

Damaging further buildings in the radius, the explosion is believed to have caused a 2.2-magnitude earthquake that was recorded by China’s earthquake administration at the same time as the factory erupted.

Videos and images of the deadly explosion have surfaced social media. (RELATED: Multiple Fatalities After Explosion Devastates Kindergarten In China)

Shockwaves from the explosion shattered nearby windows of residential buildings and destroyed cars, injuring many through flying debris. Children are among those injured as online maps show 10 schools are within the 5K radius of the explosion.

“Workers were trapped after buildings were knocked down by the shock wave, which also shattered windows of nearby homes,” reported state-run news agency Xinhua. “Witnesses said many workers were seen running out of the factory covered in blood after the blast.”

A total of 176 fire trucks and 928 firefights have been sent to the site for rescue operations and to combat the ongoing flames from the blast. (RELATED: China Backs Venezuela’s Claim That Blackout Is Result Of U.S. Sabotage, Offers Help)

The chemical company, Tianjiayi Chemical, was founded in 2007 and was listed by the State Administration of Work Safety to have had 13 safety problems, including a lack of safety training among management, at the plant. In addition, the company has received past punishments for “failures regarding solid waste management, environmental impact assessments and air pollution,” according to the South China Morning Post.

Industrial accidents have become prevalent in the East Asian country, as poor safety regulations have led to past factory explosions.

Two massive explosions, linked to haphazard management of explosive materials and poor regulations, in the port of Tianjin killed more than 160 people in 2015. Similarly, another explosive, due to problems in their safety management systems, in the Hebei province, near Beijing, killed 23 people last year.

U.S. figure skater Mariah Bell, 22, is under investigation after allegedly slashing her South Korean competitor with her skate during a Wednesday practice.

16-year-old Lim Eun-soo claims Bell crashed into her on purpose during the final warmup at the International Skating Union World Figure Skating Championships and intentionally left a gash in Eun-soo’s calf, according to the New York Post.

The incident, which is similar to the time Tonya Harding was accused of hiring someone to injure her rival during the 1994 Winter Games, seemed to be premeditated, according to a rep from the Korean sports agency All That Sports.

Eun-soo had been skating near the outer edges of the rink for space when Bell crashed into her from behind and “suddenly kicked and stabbed Lim’s calf with her skate blades” the spokesperson told Yonhap News. (RELATED: Olympic Figure Skaters Credit God In Unlikely In Return To God)

“Mariah Bell didn’t apologize to Lim Eun-soo after the incident and instead continued to rehearse for her routine. We believe this is not a minor situation that can happen in an official rehearsal,” the spokesperson said.

Eun-soo went on to compete in the ladies short program despite the injury to her calf and even placed fifth overall beating out Bell who placed sixth.

All That Sports has requested that the Korea Skating Union file a complaint against Bell.

Both skaters are trained by the same Los Angeles coach and Eun-soo’s rep claims Bell has been bullying and harassing Eun-soo leading up to the competition.

A staffer from Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign who specialized in opposition research on Bernie Sanders is joining the Vermont senator’s 2020 campaign.

Tyson Brody, former deputy research director for Clinton’s campaign, will direct Sanders’s research operation, the senator’s campaign manager Faiz Shakir confirmed to Intelligencer Wednesday.

“This campaign will comport itself according to the values of Senator Sanders, which means we will not engage in mudslinging or character assassination. That said, one of the reasons we hired Tyson is to prepare this campaign for whatever false accusations and allegations are leveled against us,” Shakir said in a statement. “Most importantly, Tyson’s work on this campaign will help us educate voters about the issues, policies and stances that the Senator has taken over the course of a lifetime fighting for working people.”

Brody is the first staffer to hop from Clinton to Sanders after their heated battle for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination, according to Intelligencer. He will bring with him his experience doing self-research for Clinton as well. (RELATED: Gillibrand Nabs First New York Lawmaker Endorsement)

“It’s a really smart move by the Sanders campaign. Tyson literally wrote the book on Bernie’s oppo,” one of his Clinton campaign coworkers told Talking Points Memo.

Clinton never used its opposition research on Sanders for negative paid advertising during the 2016 race, according to Intelligencer.

Brody reacted nonchalantly to the Intelligencer’s story on his hiring Wednesday.

“Soooooooo I did a thing,” he wrote in a tweet with a link to the story.

Brody’s acquisition comes on the heels of the Sanders campaign hiring David Sirota as a top communication aide and speechwriter. Sirota wrote an opinion piece in 2013 headlined “Let’s hope the Boston Marathon Bomber is a white American.”

Sanders’s campaign had the biggest first-day fundraising haul until former Democratic Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke entered the race on March 13. Sanders raised $5.9 million in 24 hours, while O’Rourke raised $6.1 million. O’Rourke’s donors gave more, but Sanders had more donors.

Former Democratic Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper, a 2020 hopeful, said he once watched an X-rated film with his mother during a town hall Wednesday night.

Hickenlooper was asked about a piece in his book in which he says he came home from college to a table full of food cooked by his mother. Hickenlooper said he told his mother he and his friend had already purchased tickets to an X-rated film, titled “Deep Throat,” so he asked his mother if she would like to come along, as her husband had just died and he says he did not want her to be lonely.

“She didn’t want to be left alone in the house again,” Hickenlooper said. “So I took my mother to see ‘Deep Throat.’”

The former Colorado Governor also said his mother was “mortified” after seeing the film, but that she did not leave during the film because she had already bought a ticket. Hickenlooper claims to not have known how graphic X-rated films are, before buying the ticket.

The second season of “Yellowstone” will be released June 19, 2019.

An announcement video was released on the show’s Twitter account Thursday, and it should have fans pretty amped. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) says in a voiceover, “There’s a war going on in this valley, and today is the day you choose sides.”

Watch the chilling and short teaser below:

The network also dropped a pretty damn cool video yesterday to get people hyped up, but we’re still waiting on a full trailer for the second season. Given the fact we now have a date, I expect to get it sometime soon.

All I can say about this news is that it’s about time and I’m super excited to know when we can get some more Dutton action. (RELATED: The ‘Yellowstone‘ Season One Finale Was Electric [SPOILERS])

“Yellowstone” is the most badass show on television right now. Everything about it is awesome. It’s got tons of action, the storylines are awesome, the acting is great and Costner gives one of his greatest performances ever as the head of the Dutton family.

Plus, Luke Grimes is pretty impressive as Kayce. Hell, the whole cast is awesome. I literally can’t get enough.

Now, we know we’re about three months out. I’ll be counting down the days until June 19. It’s going to be incredible.

Sound off in the comments with what you think will happen in Season 2. I expect absolute chaos and anarchy.

When two Texans found out that the popular pet store Petco supposedly welcomes all leashed pets in their stores, they decided to put that rule to the ultimate test.

The two men brought their leashed steer to a Houston-area Petco. Vincent Browning and Shelly Lumpkin, of Atascocita, Texas, brought their African Watusi steer, Oliver, into the Petco on a leash. (RELATED: Quarterback AJ McCarron Signs With The Houston Texans For $3 Million)

Browning shared the interaction on his Facebook page on Monday. He wrote, “The awesome crew at Petco-Atascocita did not disappoint!! They welcomed Oliver the African Watusi with open arms. The staff members here are always super friendly and courteous to us. We really enjoy coming to this location … our favorite Petco BY FAR!!

The video has received over 500,000 views as of the publication of this piece.

Oliver the steer is trained by Browning to compete in rodeos and other shows. Even though his specific weight is unknown, African Watusi bulls can weigh up to 1,600 pounds, according to Fox News.

Oliver has his own Facebook page where Browning posts photos of the bull and announces places where Oliver is making appearances around the Houston area.

As a native Houstonian, seeing a leashed bull enter a Petco would not shock me. In Texas, you’ll occasionally see a person riding a horse down the side of a street. All this story shows is that everything is truly bigger and better in Texas.

The New York Giants were apparently very impressed with Dwayne Haskins at his pro day.

There had been whispers that the Giants weren’t looking at the former Ohio State star to fill their quarterback need. Judging from what head coach Pat Shurmer said, I don’t think those reports are accurate. (RELATED: Dwayne Haskins Runs 5.04 During NFL Combine)

“It was excellent. We obviously have spent a lot of time evaluating him, and this is one piece of it. We got the chance to work with him on the board and take him to dinner, and he certainly is an accomplished and impressive young man,” Shurmer told The New York Post when discussing Dwayne Haskins’ pro day Wednesday.

As I’ve already said before, the Giants are crazy if they don’t take Haskins. Eli Manning is at the end of the line. He’s had a great career, but it’s time to focus on the future.

Haskins is a pure gunslinger. The man can spin a football with the best of them, and he is physically huge. Why wouldn’t you want that guy under center if you’re running the Giants?

I’m very confident Haskins is going to tear it up in the NFL. I watched a ton of him this past season, and I was very impressed by what I saw.

The man has a rocket launcher attached to the right side of his body. The Giants passed on Sam Darnold last year. They shouldn’t make the same mistake two years in a row.

Take Haskins and ride with him.

Google is refusing to remove an application activists believe promotes the idea that homosexuality is both a sin and susceptible to change.

The Living Hope Ministries is essentially a conversion therapy app, according to LGBTQ rights groups that are urging Google to ding the project. The app, which has already been removed by Apple and Amazon, offers young people and parents articles and testimonials.

Nearly 140,000 people have signed a petition on Change.org pushing the company to make a move. Supporters of the app argue, meanwhile, that the project neither supports nor practices conversion therapy, a type of therapy designed to turn gay people into heterosexuals. The American Medical Association and the American Psychological Association oppose such practices.

“We are hopeful that technology companies recognize the harm of apps that promote conversion therapy. The Trevor Project hears from conversion therapy survivors in crisis every day, and we remain committed to ending the harmful practice in every state because we know it contributes to an increased risk of suicidal behavior among LGBTQ youth,” Trevor Project CEO Amit Paley told Axios Wednesday.

Supporters of the app claim it allows gay men and women to square their homosexuality with orthodox Christianity. Pressure on Google will likely intensify as activists press the issue. The company has gotten hit in the past for offering controversial apps, including one in 2018 allowing citizens to report what they consider instances of blasphemy to the Indonesian government.

The so-called Smart Pakem app was created through the Google Play platform and allows users to report “deviant” religious ideas directly to Indonesian authorities. The country’s anti-blasphemy laws target “those who disgrace a religion” or who otherwise express “hostility” to religion. (RELATED: Google App Allows People To Report Blasphemy To Indonesian Government)

Google could also receive internal pressure.

The Daily Caller News Foundation reported March 18 that the company banned a video explaining Christian teaching on same-sex marriage from advertising on YouTube in 2018 after employees pushed and prodded for the ban. The video was flagged in June 2018 in an internal listserv run by Google’s human resources department, according to communications and other internal documents.

Google has not yet responded to TheDCNF’s request for comment.

Emma Roberts and Evan Peters have apparently thrown in the towel and called it quits.

According to US Weekly, the Hollywood power couple is done after years of dating. However, it doesn’t sound like it ended on bad terms. Roberts and Evans are reportedly still friends. (SLIDESHOW: These Women On Instagram Hate Wearing Clothes)

Well, I guess love is officially dead. Roberts and Peters were a pillar of Hollywood love over the years, despite an alleged domestic violence incident years ago when the star actress allegedly struck Peters. (SLIDESHOW: 142 Times Josephine Skriver Barely Wore Anything)

If those two can’t make it after all these years, then what is a guy like me to do? (SLIDESHOW: 71 Times Samantha Hoopes Stripped Down)

These two were actually both great in “American Horror Story” together, and Peters has continued to just dominate that show. I’m not sure it could honestly even exist without him at this point. (SLIDESHOW: This Blonde Bombshell Might Be The Hottest Model On The Internet)

As for Roberts, she’s continued to rise since leaving the show, and we should always remember that she was outstanding in season three. Season three of “AHS” is also vastly underrated. (SLIDESHOW: 60 Times Abigail Ratchford Wore Almost Nothing)

I guess now we’ll have to search for love elsewhere. Then again, what is the point? If a power couple like Peters and Roberts can’t last, then can any of us?

These are now the big questions that we must ponder.

The Big Ten has dominated the college basketball attendance numbers for nearly a decade.

A new study from from Grand Canyon University compiled a bunch of data from the past few years on college basketball, and two numbers stood out to me the most.

First, the B1G has led college basketball in total attendance since 2012. Secondly, they’ve led average per-game attendance since 2011, with Wisconsin at top with over 17,000 a game over that time period for the conference. (RELATED: The March Madness Bracket Has Been Released)

You just hate to see it, don’t you? You just hate seeing all these undeniable facts and numbers get published that just continue to show the superiority of the Big 10.

Cry all you want, SEC. Let the tears flow. Let them come down! It won’t make a difference. The numbers never lie, and we’re all over the place when it comes to our level of domination.

Rubbing it in will honestly never get old. It’s almost like I was put on this planet to remind everybody how much better the B1G is than everybody else.

Quick trivia question for all of you. Do you know the conference with the most teams in the big dance this year? Oh, yeah, that’d be the B1G.

Let me know if you guys need me to ship you some tissues. I’d be my great honor to help you all wipe away your tears.

You just hate to see it!

Aaron Rodgers really didn’t seem happy to see Randall Cobb leave the Green Bay Packers.

The talented receiver agreed to a deal with the Dallas Cowboys Tuesday, and that officially ended his time as one of Rodgers’ favorite guys to sling the rock to.

The Super Bowl-winning quarterback posted several photos of them together on Instagram and captioned it with the following:

“I have to remind myself that some birds aren’t meant to be caged … And when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin to lock them up does rejoice. Still, the place you live in is that much more drab and empty that they’re gone. I guess I just miss my friend.” #friendship #teammates #brothers #Packers

Despite the fact that I hate the Packers with every part of my body, Randall Cobb seems like one hell of a dude. He’s also very talented and dependable in the passing game. (RELATED: Packers QB Aaron Rodgers Says He Won’t Get Surgery On His Knee)

I’m guessing Rodgers is going to miss him a ton, and the Packers are going to have move quickly on finding a replacement.

Having said that, I’m so happy that Cobb isn’t on the Packers anymore. As a huge Lions fan, I don’t want my defense to face Rodgers with Cobb on the field as a weapon for Green Bay.

I want that offense crippled, and it’s substantially better with Cobb out there.

Best of luck in Dallas! I won’t miss seeing him on the field one bit.

Kwame Brown isn’t a fan of the NBA’s age restrictions, but he used a bizarre example to criticize it.

Right now, the NBA requires that players be a year removed from high school in order to enter the draft. It’s become known as the “one and done” era of college basketball. Top guys play for a year and then bolt for the league. (RELATED: The March Madness Bracket Has Been Released)

It’s fair to criticize the setup from the NBA. I also think it’s pretty stupid. However, I’m not sure I would have chosen the same line of attack as Brown, who was the first overall pick in 2001 by the Wizards coming straight out of high school.

“To tell a young man he can go shoot a gun but he can’t go earn a living — to me, that doesn’t make any sense,” Brown told TMZ in a video posted Thursday morning.

Apparently, Brown is unaware of the fact you can legally shoot a gun at just about any age in most parts of America. I was slinging lead before I could read. God bless the USA.

However, I’m sure he meant actually owning a gun, and his argument still doesn’t hold up. You have to be 21 to buy a handgun. Yes, you can get long guns at 18 in the vast majority of America, but it’s still not a great example at all.

Besides, what does the Second Amendment have to do with joining the NBA. The league is a private entity that can set whatever rules they want. The same goes for the NFL and all other pro sports leagues.

Again, I actually agree with Brown in spirit. I think the age limit should be done away with, but I’m not sure I’m following his logic here.

Players can also go to Europe for a season if they want to earn money right away. There’s nothing stopping them from pursuing that path if they don’t want to go to college.

Sound off in the comments if you think the age limit is a good or bad idea.

The feud between Miller Lite and Bud Light is escalating, and there’s no end in sight.

Miller Lite, an extremely popular beer in my home state of Wisconsin, dropped two new ads mocking Bud Light’s “Dilly Dilly” campaign Wednesday and their “Game of ThronesSuper Bowl commercial(RELATED: These Are The Sexiest Photos Of ‘Game Of Thrones‘ Star Emilia Clarke On The Internet)

It took virtually no time at all for Bud to strike back with the “Imitation” ad, which continued to stab at Miller for using corn syrup in their beer.

Even though I’m a huge Miller fan, it was pretty entertaining. You can watch it below:

Honestly, I hope this feud gets nasty as all hell. The worse it gets, the better it’ll be for consumers everywhere.

That’s just a fact.

I pretty much want this to turn into the escalation scene from “Sum of All Fears.” I want nuclear weapons on standby as these two popular brands duke it out.

Besides, rivals aren’t supposed to get along. They’re supposed to bitterly hate each other. Those are the rules of nature.

There’s only one choice for Miller Lite at this point. Escalate as fast and as hard as they can. Come for Bud’s head.

Generally speaking, I’m not a fan of war, but I’m all in on this beer feud. It’s outstanding content.

Conor McGregor had some very honest and open thoughts when recently discussing Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The Khabib beat McGregor at UFC 229, and we all know what happened afterward. It turned into pure chaos. Now, McGregor is admitting that he overlooked the Russian-born fighter and didn’t give him the proper respect. (SLIDESHOW: These UFC Women Really Hate Wearing Clothes)

McGregor said the following, in part, as he stood on top of a bar addressing his fans (transcription via MMAFighting.com):

It’s easy to do this once. It’s very easy for someone to be given something and to do it just one time. You put your absolute all into it. But to do it time after time and year after year, that’s when the motivation kind of dips, that’s when the dedication kind of lacks, and that’s when people creep up. That’s what I feel has happened here. I didn’t give him his respect.

For those of you wondering if he wants a rematch, don’t worry because it’s clear that he very much does. (SLIDESHOW: These Are The Sexiest Paige VanZant Photos On The Internet)

These two just need to do us all a favor and fight again immediately. Their fight at UFC 229 and the melee that followed was awesome. It’s what the UFC is all about.

Dana White can claim it’s bad and all that stuff, but we know what the fans want. McGregor might not fight him right away again. He might have to take a smaller fight first, but make no mistake this isn’t settled yet.

There is blood that has yet to be spilled between these two, and I can’t wait to watch them into the octagon together again.

It’s going to be epic.

Johnny Manziel won’t start for the Memphis Express this Sunday against the Birmingham Iron, but it does sound like he is ready to play.

Express coach Mike Singletary told Jason Munz Wendesday that Manziel wouldn’t get the starting nod in his first AAF game, but that the Texas A&M Heisman winner is “absolutely” ready to play. (RELATED: Johnny Manziel Signs With The Memphis Express In The AAF)

Well, there we have it. Johnny Football will sit behind Brandon Silvers in his first AAF game, but it does sound like he might take some snaps.

As I’ve said before, this isn’t too shocking. It’s hard to learn a whole offense in a couple days. I speculated they might not throw him in immediately, but could have some packages ready for him. It looks like that’s exactly what’s going to happen. (RELATED: Johnny Manziel Shows Off Arm Strength)

Having said that, the AAF didn’t bring Johnny in so that he could sit on the bench. They brought him in so that he could play and generate massive television ratings.

He might not start this week, but I can promise you that he’ll be in sooner than later.

The saga of Johnny Football continues and you can tune in Sunday night on the NFL Network to see how many snaps he takes. Right now, I’d say he takes under 15. Can’t wait to find out!

Chad Kelly’s arrest video has been released, and it’s pretty strange.

The former Ole Miss star and Broncos gunslinger was arrested and initially charged with first-degree criminal trespass back in October after he allegedly walked into somebody’s house, and just decided to sit down next to a woman and her baby. He was cut from the Broncos following his arrest.

Now, the arrest video along with security camera footage has been released, and it’s almost comical. Kelly is dressed as Woody from “Toy Story” as he runs out of the residence being chased by a man with a vacuum tube. (RELATED: Arrested And Disgraced NFL Quarterback Might Be Headed To An Entirely Different League)

Then, he appears incredibly distraught and nervous in police custody. Again, it’d almost be funny if it wasn’t so damn sad and disturbing to watch a full grown man throw away his NFL career while dressed as a movie character.

You can watch both videos below:

There is some good news in all of this for the once-upon-a-time promising quarterback prospect. According to TMZ, he agreed to a deal Wednesday to plead guilty to second-degree criminal trespassing in exchange for the felony charge being dropped. He was sentenced to one year of supervised probation, 50 hours of community service, and fines and fees.

Now, we’ll have to see whether or not he can make an NFL comeback. He’s got all the talent in the world, but he just can’t seem to stay on the straight and narrow.

Time will tell, but not having a felony on his record certainly can’t hurt his comeback chances. Swag Kelly got off pretty easy all things considered.

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Tyrone Crawford recently got into an ugly bar altercation.

According to TMZ, the Canadian-born NFL player was at the Coyote Ugly Saloon in Panama City Beach, Florida, on March 15 when all hell broke loose. It was the definition of an all-out melee. (SLIDESHOW: These Are The Hottest Women On Instagram)

TMZ reported the following in part Tuesday:

At one point, [four] bouncers — in red shirts — are ganging up on Crawford … who frees himself and clocks one of the bigger security guards, sending the bouncer crashing down to the ground.

As we previously reported, the fight spilled outside and cops were called to the scene … where Crawford continued to get physical with multiple police officers.

There is video that shows Crawford barreling through 2 cops and then shoving 2 other cops while they are trying to arrest a man allegedly involved in the bar fight.

Crawford was NOT arrested that night and has not been charged with a crime.

You can watch the video below. It’s pretty disturbing.

It’s insane to me that this whole thing was captured on video, and nobody was arrested. That makes me think the police might think Crawford was either defending himself or was provoked. There’s no chance anybody wouldn’t end up in cuffs if they just started swinging for no reason at all. (RELATED: Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Thanks The Giants For Trading Odell Beckham Jr.)

TMZ also reported that the NFL is investigating the situation, and it’s important to note that somebody doesn’t need to be arrested before the league can suspend them.

There are plenty of examples of guys getting hit with suspensions and never being charged with a crime.

Finally, it really doesn’t matter who started this or why a massive altercation broke out. Crawford is the one on the NFL contract. Even if he was provoked or felt like he was justified in his actions, he still has to learn to walk away.

Even a normal guy just needs to walk away from bad situations. Somebody on a contract to play pro sports has a hell of a lot more on the line than the average person. They damn sure need get the hell out of bad situations.

I’m sure the Cowboys will have a very serious talk with Crawford, and it’s not going to be one he enjoys.

Check back for more updates when we have them.

On the show today, there are two main points: When you attack a dead guy, no matter how true your attacks may be, it drowns out whatever message you’re hoping to get across; and progressives will never miss an opportunity to chip away at the rights of individuals, even if it means standing on a pile of bodies to do it.

Listen to the show:

President Donald Trump had some great economic news to talk about in Ohio yesterday, but a five-minute tangent of criticizing the late Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain was all anyone was talking about when his speech was done. The best thing the President has going for his reelection is just how crazy Democrats have become, but the worst thing he has going for him is his ability to stop all over his own message.

It’s one thing to counter-punch, which the president usually does and does well. It’s another to punch down. Yesterday, Trump not only punched down; he punched the ground — a grave. No matter how valid the criticisms were, they come across as unseemly when the target is dead. We make the case (and expect to catch outrage over it – let the hate email flow).

New Zealand is moving to ban every type of gun the Mosque terrorist attack shooter used and any accessory they could think of. Liberals in the United States immediately cheered the move and called for similar action here. The problem for them is, in New Zealand, owning a gun is a privilege. In the United States, it is a right. It’s why Democrats are talking about packing the Supreme Court; they want to control any institution they can use to impose their will on the American people.

A woman in the U.K. is under investigation for a possible hate crime because she used the “wrong pronoun” to describe a trans person on Twitter. Meanwhile, a program to educate kids on LGBT issues is being halted in Birmingham because the Muslim community complained about it. It’s the insanity of intersectionality come to life.

Finally, New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez accused Fox News hosts of calling her “Cortez” because they’re racists and she’s Hispanic. The only problem is, as usual, it was a complete lie. She won’t apologize because, well, no one will hold her accountable.

Political correctness is fascism, and fascism is on the march.

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (Reuters) – A Pakistani anti-terrorism court sentenced two men, including a local government official, to life in prison on Thursday for their role in the brutal campus lynching two years ago of a university student accused of blasphemy.

Mashal Khan, 23, was attacked and killed by a mob on the campus of a university in Mardan, in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, following a dormitory debate about religion.

In February last year the court convicted 31 people, sentencing one person to death, while acquitting 26 others.

A joint investigation team had later found the blasphemy allegations against Mashal Khan to be false.

Outrage over the killing raised concerns about the misuse of Pakistan’s draconian blasphemy laws, which stipulate the death sentence for insulting Islam or the Prophet Muhammad.

On Thursday the court sentenced two more men to life imprisonment, while acquitting two others.

Arif Khan, a local government official who had been a member of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, was convicted for provoking and participating in the lynch mob.

The court ruling noted two videos in which Khan is seen “torturing Mashal” and “congratulating his co-accused for committing the murder”.

Khan’s grave continues to be guarded by police, due to fears that it will be defaced by religious hardliners despite his name being cleared of blasphemy.

In a separate case in the eastern city of Bahawalpur, a college student was arrested and charged on Wednesday for stabbing his English professor to death. Police said the student was angered by a farewell party that the professor was organizing, believing it was un-Islamic as women would attend.

In a video of his pre-interrogation released on social media, the student confessed to stabbing his professor Khalid Hameed, saying he “spoke against Islam” and that “it’s a good thing” he died.

He said he had not reported his professor to the authorities because “the law protects blasphemers”.

March 21, 2019

By Valerie Volcovici and Nichola Groom

WASHINGTON/LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – U.S. solar and wind power companies may have the most to gain from the Green New Deal, an ambitious proposal backed by several Democratic presidential candidates to end U.S. fossil fuel consumption within a decade.

But do not expect the renewable energy firms to endorse it.

Representatives of America’s clean energy companies are withholding their support for the climate-fighting plan, calling it unrealistic and too politically divisive for an industry keen to grow in both red and blue states.

The cool reaction reflects the difficulty that progressive politicians vying for the White House may have in selling aggressive global-warming policy to the business community and more moderate voters.

It also underscores a new reality for U.S. solar and wind power companies long associated with the environmental left: As they have improved technology and lowered prices, their growth is shifting from politically liberal coastal states to the more conservative heartland, where skepticism of climate change and government subsidies runs high.

“If you just broadly endorse the Green New Deal, you are liable to upset one side of the aisle or the other. And that’s not constructive,” said Tom Werner, the CEO of SunPower Corp, one of the nation’s biggest solar power companies.

“The idea that you could go 100 percent (clean energy) in 10 years would require a lot of things happening perfectly, simultaneously,” he said. “You’d have to have bipartisan support, 52-state support.”

The Green New Deal was introduced last month by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a Democrat Congresswoman from New York, along with fellow Democrat Senator Edward Markey of Massachusetts. It has since become the center of a renewed debate in Washington about how vigorously the government must act to address climate change.

The Congressional resolution, which has no force of law, calls for the federal government to make investments to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions in a decade by meeting 100 percent of America’s power demand with clean, renewable sources such as solar, wind, hydroelectric, or geothermal energy.

It also calls for massive investments in green infrastructure projects like “smart grids” to improve efficiency, along with a guarantee of millions of high-wage jobs with paid vacations, medical leave and retirement security. The resolution does not get into detail about how subsequent legislation would achieve these goals.

So far, at least eight Democratic presidential hopefuls – including senators Bernie Sanders of Vermont, Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota – have endorsed the plan as they seek to stand in stark opposition to the pro-drilling policies of President Donald Trump.

Trump’s fellow Republicans have widely panned the Green New Deal, saying it would cost trillions of dollars of taxpayer money, may be technically unfeasible, and smacks of radical socialism.

Rhiana Gunn Wright, founder of the think tank New Consensus, which is drawing up Green New Deal policies, said her group will not estimate costs of the plan until it is more fully drafted next year. She said opponents’ estimates are premature and do not account for the benefits of climate action and the costs of inaction.

The feasibility of the proposal has been a source of concern for the clean energy industry, too.

“We love the enthusiasm the Green New Deal has brought to the climate issue … but we need to operate in political reality,” said Dan Whitten, vice president of public affairs at the Solar Energy Industries Association, the solar industry’s main lobby group.

Another concern is the fact that the plan extends beyond energy and climate policies to include guarantees of jobs, training and healthcare for communities affected by climate change, said Greg Wetstone, president of the American Council on Renewable Energy, a non-profit organization promoting renewable energy industries.

“It creates controversy and complexity, tying this to issues that are not in our sphere,” he said.

Representatives of renewable energy firms Sunrun and Sunnova Energy said they were happy the Green New Deal was drawing so much attention to clean industry but stopped short of endorsing the plan.

“The Green New Deal has sparked an important conversation, and we’re excited to be part of it,” said Alex McDonough, Vice President of Public Policy at Sunrun.

The U.S. solar and wind industries have expanded over the last decade, thanks to lucrative government subsidies, and now employ some 350,000 workers nationwide – more than four times more than the coal sector, according to the 2019 U.S. Energy and Employment Report released this month.

While the growth began in liberal-leaning regions such as California and New England, it has more recently come in states that voted heavily for President Donald Trump in 2016, including Texas, North Carolina, Iowa and Florida, according to data from the American Wind Energy Association, Wood Mackenzie Power & Renewables and SEIA.

That has helped strengthen the industry’s appeal to Republican lawmakers, allowing it to rebrand as a jobs engine in addition to a tool for combating global warming. And during the last election cycle in 2018, solar and wind companies contributed significantly more money to Republican candidates than to their traditional Democratic allies.

“We have raised these industries above science experiments and feel-goodery, and we are now real businesses and can’t just play to one half of the country,” said one renewable sector lobbyist, who asked not to be named discussing the topic.

“Staying out of the line of fire is the goal of most companies and trade associations,” said another clean energy industry representative. “There will be a real danger for our industry and companies if they are shouting out about the Green New Deal from the rooftops.”

The Sunrise Movement, a grassroots group that brought the Green New Deal into the national spotlight by holding demonstrations and confronting lawmakers on video, said it was aware of the reticence of green energy companies to back their proposal.

“We’ve met with companies and industries who could have a lot to gain from the Green New Deal, but the politics at this stage are too difficult to navigate,” Sunrise co-founder Evan Weber said.

He said Sunrise had met with the SEIA and AWEA, along with other executives.

Weber said industry support for the Green New Deal would be welcomed but is not vital: “We don’t expect all of them to be a strong advocate for the Green New Deal until the politics shift.”

PJ Media senior editor Tyler O’Neil joined Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Wednesday to discuss racism at the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Morris Dees, the group’s co-founder, was abruptly fired last week for failing to meet “the mission of the organization and the values we hope to instill in the world,” according to a statement from SPLC President Richard Cohen to The Daily Caller News Foundation.

Carlson noted Dees’ firing “under mysterious circumstances” and the irony that a group that often falsely labels others as “racist, sexist bigots” would be accused of those things itself.

WATCH:

“This group has been rotten for years,” said Carlson. “Why are people just now noticing?”

“The story actually is really, really bad,” said O’Neil. “You had 13 black former employees of the SPLC interviewed. Twelve of them said they witnessed racist incidents in their time there and three of them called the organization a plantation for its black workers.”

Dees’ firing was first reported by the Montgomery Advertiser, which included a reference to its 1994 series on racism within the organization and the co-founder’s “near singular control over the organization and its mammoth budget.”

The series, a Pulitzer Prize finalist, revealed a figure seen as heroic by some and single-minded by others. Dees’ critics said he was more concerned with fundraising than litigating.

The series also alleged discriminatory treatment of black employees within the advocacy group, despite its outward efforts to improve the treatment of minorities in the country. Staffers at the time “accused Morris Dees, the center’s driving force, of being a racist and black employees have ‘felt threatened and banded together.’” The organization denied the accusations raised in the series.

O’Neil noted that it wasn’t just the Advertiser, but also former employees who went to Glassdoor.com to “talk about their experiences facing racial discrimination” in 2017. (RELATED: Southern Poverty Law Center Is Not So Poor)

“There are apparently 100 lawyers and advocates of the SPLC,” he noted. “Only five of them are black. Black employees worked there 12 years and yet, none of them were elevated to senior leadership.”

The PJ Media editor added that if the group “hires more black leaders,” since “blacks tend to be more Christian” perhaps they would stop characterizing Christian groups as anti-LGBT.

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is seeking to suppress video evidence that authorities assert support the solicitation of prostitution charges filed against him, ESPN reported Wednesday.

Per the report, a motion was filed Wednesday by Kraft’s attorneys with intentions to make sure the video, which he said has been described as “graphic and damning,” never is released. The report calls the motion a “warning shot” to prosecutors that Kraft’s team will challenge that police had probable cause even to collect the video as evidence.

The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday that prosecutors offered to defer prosecution for Kraft and the two dozen other men arrested in the case, but any defendant who accepts the offer must admit that there is enough evidence to lead to a conviction at trial, along with other stipulations. CNN reported Wednesday Kraft will reject the offer.

Kraft entered a not guilty plea after being charged with two misdemeanor counts of soliciting prostitution at a day spa in Jupiter, Fla. The 77-year-old billionaire is alleged to have twice visited the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in January and received sex acts in exchange for money.

–Much of the New York Giants’ top brass — including head coach Pat Shurmur, offensive coordinator Mike Shula and senior vice president of player personnel Chris Mara — took Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins to dinner Tuesday night, then studied his on-field drills at the Buckeyes’ Pro Day the following day.

Draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah of the NFL Network summed up the action: “Strong workout for Haskins. Improved foot quickness, excellent anticipation and pace on the ball.”

Haskins could be the choice if New York is ready to try to draft the replacement for Eli Manning with the No. 6 overall pick, but there could be competition as other quarterback-needy teams assess their draft positions. Haskins said he would soon meet with the Oakland Raiders (who hold the No. 4 pick), the Denver Broncos (No. 10), the Miami Dolphins (No. 13) and the Washington Redskins (No. 15).

–Also in Columbus, potential No. 1 overall pick Nick Bosa did not participate in on-field drills after performing well in drill work at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine.

He said he had meetings scheduled with the San Francisco 49ers, who hold the No. 2 pick, and the Giants. He also interviewed with all the top teams at the combine, including Arizona, which picks first. Bosa had 29 tackles for loss, including 17.5 sacks, in 29 career games for the Buckeyes.

–Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin told Sports Radio 950 KJR in Seattle that “more surgeries (are) on the way, most likely,” while the NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo cited a source in saying that Baldwin will meet with Dr. William Meyers in Philadelphia in early April about a potential sports hernia.

Baldwin, 30, missed two games in September with a knee injury and a shoulder problem arose later in the campaign. He had surgeries to address both issues this offseason.

–The Tampa Bay Buccaneers added two women as assistant coaches, making them the first full-time female coaches in team history and making the Bucs the first NFL team with two female coaches on staff. Maral Javadifar will take on the role as assistant strength and conditioning coach as Lori Locust will be an assistant defensive line coach.

–Quarterback Trevor Siemian has agreed to a reported one-year deal worth $2 million with the New York Jets. Siemian spent all of last season on Minnesota’s active roster, although he did not play as Kirk Cousins’ backup after the Vikings acquired him in a trade with Denver last March. Siemian, 27, started 24 games for the Broncos over the 2016 and ’17 seasons, passing for 5,686 yards and 30 touchdowns against 24 interceptions.

–The Minnesota Vikings, in search of help at offensive guard, announced the signing of Josh Kline, who was released last week by the Tennessee Titans. The deal is for three years and $15.75 million, according to the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. … The Chicago Bears re-signed punter Patrick O’Donnell and backup quarterback Tyler Bray.

Fox News’ Dana Perino criticized the Democratic presidential candidates who have come out in favor of dismantling the Electoral College, during her Wednesday appearance on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

California Sen. Kamala Harris, Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren and former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke have all stated their belief that the country should do away with the Electoral College and elect presidents via the popular vote.

WATCH:

“It’s a litmus test, right? Is there a Democratic candidate who is saying no? Cory Booker kind of tapped the breaks on it, whoa, whoa, whoa, I don’t know. But he will get there. This is happening,” Perino stated. “Remember, it’s Eric Holder also, I think, who during the Obama administration suggested this. But the Democrats didn’t need to talk about this when President Obama was president because he won the Electoral College. Okay?” (RELATED: Democratic Lawmaker Introduces Constitutional Amendment To Abolish The Electoral College)

“The institutions have held up but the Democrats are now talking about actually dismantling those institutions. And what is interesting to me is that the reason that the country is set up this way with different states is because we are republic. You have a representative government,” she continued.

“If you do away with that and you just elect the president by whoever lives in New York and California, then, and you just erase all of those boundaries, then you truly are for open borders,” Perino concluded. “Then you are no longer of the United States of America. You are like united people of America where perhaps, not so united, right, just the people of America.”

Republican Florida Sen. Marco Rubio rebuked the Democrats’ plan to get rid of the Electoral College on twitter Tuesday morning.

“The Democrat plan to get rid of the Electoral College has nothing to do with making sure every vote counts,” Rubio stated. “It’s about diminishing the electoral power of what liberals arrogantly call the ‘flyover states’ & of Americans they habitually disrespect as uneducated & backwards.” (RELATED: Marco Rubio Rebukes Democrats’ Attempt To Get Rid Of The Electoral College)

President Donald Trump also supported the Electoral College on Twitter, saying, “Campaigning for the Popular Vote is much easier & different than campaigning for the Electoral College. It’s like training for the 100 yard dash vs. a marathon. The brilliance of the Electoral College is that you must go to many States to win.”

Twelve states have passed laws mandating that their Electoral College votes go to the winner of the national popular vote, but none of the laws will go into effect unless the combined number of Electoral College votes reach 270 — the number of votes needed for a presidential candidate to win.

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – A Google executive offered new details on Wednesday about the company’s upcoming video game streaming service, telling Reuters that game makers may use competing cloud providers and must avoid some inappropriate content.

Google, owned by Alphabet Inc, unveiled Stadia on Tuesday, saying the service launching this year would make playing high-quality video games in an internet browser as easy as watching a movie on its YouTube service.

The game would operate on Google’s servers, receiving commands from a user’s controller and sending video streams to their screen. Player settings, leaderboards, matchmaking tools and other data related to the game would “not necessarily” have to reside on Google’s servers, Phil Harrison, a Google vice president, said in an interview.

Hosting the data elsewhere, however, could lead to slower loading times or less crisp streaming quality, he said.

“Obviously, we would want and incentivize the publisher to bring as much of their backend as possible” to Google servers, he said. “But Stadia can reach out to other public and private cloud services.”

The approach could limit Google’s revenue from Stadia. It has declined to comment on the business model for the new service, but attracting new customers to Google’s paid cloud computing program is one of Stadia’s aims.

If a game publisher was using Amazon for some tools, “the first thing I would do is introduce you to the Google Cloud team,” Harrison said.

In addition, Stadia will require games to follow content guidelines that build upon the system of Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), a self-regulatory body, he said.

“We absolutely will not have A-O content,” Harrison said, referring to the ESRB’s moniker for the rare designation of a game as adult-only because of intense violence, pornography or real-money gambling.

He said Stadia’s guidelines would not be public.

Asked about growing public concerns about game addiction, Harrison said Stadia would empower parents with controls on “what you play, when you play and who you play with.”

Google views Stadia as connecting its various efforts in gaming, including selling them on its mobile app store, Harrison said. But game streaming, he said, is an opportunity to tackle among the most complex technical challenges around and potentially apply breakthroughs to other industries.

“We think we can grow a very significant games market vertical,” he said. “And by getting this right we can advance the state of the art of computing.”

March Madness begins Thursday, and that’s great news for everybody.

This is the time of year that we wait for and dream about for months on end. This is the time of year that separates the boys from the men. This is what college basketball is all about.

A total of 64 teams (I’m ignoring dumb play-in games) will begin their journey to a championship today. Of them, 65 will fall short and fail. Only one will cut down the nets. The stakes couldn’t get any higher.

The first matchup will between Minnesota and Louisville shortly after noon, and it’ll only get crazier from there. You can see the full slate of games here(RELATED: The March Madness Bracket Has Been Released)

I also want to congratulate all of you who will be taking this journey with me for another run through March and into early April. The eyes of the world are upon us as we prepare to do battle against one another.

While I might hate you all on the court, we share a bond as college basketball fans that is simply unbreakable. We walked on the moon and we play basketball. Find me another country that can say the same.

You can’t.

I hope you all are even a fraction as excited as I am. We’re going to drink some beers, debate nonstop for the next three weeks, win some money (probably won’t come out on top) and maybe we’ll even get smitten with a few young ladies that share our desires for great post defense, boxing out and working the shot clock. If only we could be so lucky.

As for me and by Wisconsin faithful, we’re hunkered down and ready for a long siege if it comes to it. We’re at DEFCON 2, gentlemen. With any luck, we’ll be at DEFCON 1 by the time the sun goes down at the end of the weekend. (RELATED: Watch Wisconsin Beat Kentucky In The 2015 Final Four)

The further our teams advance, the higher the stakes will get. Welcome to the world of college sports. My Badgers are going to show up and show out, and I don’t care who we steamroll in the process.

Doubt us at your own peril.

Get your beers cold, get your bets placed and get ready for a hell of a lot of fun. This is what we train for. Now, it’s time to go out there and execute our way to a championship.

Godspeed to all of you. It’s been a hell of a ride, and it’s been my honor to share this season with each and every one of you.

Fox Business host Lou Dobbs criticized Utah Sen. Mitt Romney and other Republican critics of President Donald Trump’s latest comments about late Republican Arizona Sen. John McCain.

Speaking with former Reagan’s campaign director Ed Rollins on Wednesday evening about the president’s recent positive polling within the Republican Party, Dobbs gave GOP chairwoman Ronna McDaniel “great credit” before ripping Trump’s GOP critics.

WATCH:

“These are better numbers than Reagan had and Nixon had when they both had 49 state victories,” Rollins said, referring to the fact that 78 percent of Republicans are enthusiastic about Trump. “I am not predicting that, but I’m simply predicting there are a lot of Republicans out there ready for the fight. They are proud of this president. They want this president reelected.”

“We’re starting to see some movement within the party,” Dobbs noted. “And by the way, I think Ronna McDaniel deserves great credit, the chair of RNC, for holding the line and supporting this president with full support, when there are people like, say, Mitt Romney for example, undercutting this president because he made some nasty remarks about John McCain. There is a reason for those nasty remarks. There is a history between those two men. And the people who are attacking him, including Mitch McConnell attacking the president for his views on John McCain, is asinine.” (RELATED: Trump Says John McCain Put Him In ‘Jeopardy’ By Giving Dossier To FBI)

Romney tweeted Tuesday his criticism of Trump’s McCain comments, writing:

Dobbs and Rollins ended the segment with a discussion about McCain’s Obamacare vote and the “bad history” between Trump and the late senator.

“I knew John well, and liked him over the years,” said Rollins. “But the reality is Trump did what he had to do and won a big, big election …”

It is truly unclear what exactly was going through a car chase suspect’s mind when police finally caught up with him and in response he began breakdancing.

It all went down in San Fernando Valley when CHP officers were involved in a slow speed car chase—yes, you read that correctly—from Calabasas through southern California to catch an alleged reckless driver who failed to stop when asked to do so by authority, per ABC 7 Chicago on Wednesday.

All the excitement was captured on video and shared on YouTube. Check it out. (RELATED: Driver Refuses To Pull Over For Cops, Says Car Chase Was On His ‘Bucket List’)

WATCH:

During the pursuit, which never reached faster than 60 mph, the suspect lead cops from the 101 freeway to the 118 East. At one point, he slowed his car down to 20 mph. While he reportedly never made any evasive maneuvers, he refused to pull over as well.

The police chase finally came to an end after officers were able to spin out his car using a PIT maneuver (Pursuit Intervention Technique).

Once his car was stopped, the man exited his vehicle and then started to show off his rather impressive 1980s breakdancing moves as police pointed guns at him. (RELATED: Man Films High-Speed Car Chase Then The Car Hit Him)

Clearly, from the overhead video taken from the chopper ahead, the suspect seemed completely unfazed by the police or the weapons pointed at him as he completed his dance routine.

Once the show was finally over, authorities were able to take him into custody without further incident.

Definitely one for the books!

Pro-choice students at the University of Michigan were caught on video Friday allegedly vandalizing a pro-life display created by the Students for Life organization.

Though Students for Life had the university’s permission to set up their display, a women with purple hair and a black trench coat—along with several others—proceeded to collect pink crosses that were stuck in the ground. The display was comprised of 1,000 pink crosses, that were arranged at 9 a.m. Friday.

The video shows them putting the crosses in trash bags and claiming that they were “just cleaning up garbage on the school’s campus,” when confronted by Students For Life organizers. (RELATED: New York Passes Bill On Roe v. Wade Anniversary Casting Abortion As A Woman’s Right)

The pink crosses were a part of Students For Life’s #PlannedParenthoodTruth Tour, in which the pro-life organization tours college campuses to spread the word about “Planned Parenthood’s poor track record on helping women,” according to the Students for Life website.

At around 12:50 p.m., Kaylena Wiederhold, Students for Life’s Michigan regional coordinator, approached the people who were vandalizing the arrangement, asking why they were stealing Students for Life’s property. “Is there a reason why you’re doing this?” Wiederhold asked the purple-haired girl.

“Because we disagree with it,” she said plainly.

She then continues to contest the fact that the crosses in the display are Students for Life’s property, refusing to stop throwing them away.

She only complies after being instructed by campus police to stop what she is doing and return the crosses to Students for Life. In response, she dumps her trash bag full of crosses on the ground and walked away, refusing to put the crosses back where she found them.

She only complies after being instructed by campus police to stop what she is doing and return the crosses to Students for Life. In response, she dumps her trash bag full of crosses on the ground and walked away, refusing to put the crosses back where she found them.

Democratic New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, a 2020 hopeful, said social security and a pathway to citizenship should be rights for immigrants “in the country now” Tuesday at a campaign event in Iowa.

“I have a lot of ideas,” Gillibrand said. “First, we need comprehensive immigration reform. If you are in this country now, you must have the right to pay into social security, to pay your taxes, to pay into the local school system, and to have a pathway to citizenship.”

Gillibrand has been vocal in her thoughts on immigration.

“Immigration is not a security issue. It is an economic and a humanitarian and a family issue,” she said during a town hall with MSNBC on Monday.

She also added there is “no such thing as an illegal human.”

She also recently said illegal immigrants should be allowed to receive driver’s licenses — though she was formerly against this.

She said in 2007 she did not support giving driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants. She changed her mind in January, saying, “I think we have to make it possible for people to provide for their families.”

LONDON (Reuters) – Prime Minister Theresa May said on Wednesday she deeply regretted her decision to seek a Brexit extension from the European Union and she urged lawmakers, who have twice previously rejected her plan, to back her now.

“This delay is a matter of great personal regret for me,” May said in a statement delivered in her Downing Street residence.

“I passionately hope that (lawmakers) will find a way to back the deal I have negotiated with the EU, a deal that delivers on the referendum and is the very best deal negotiable, and I will continue to work night and day to secure the support” for the deal.

“But I am not prepared to delay Brexit any further than the 30th of June,” she said.

Earlier on Wednesday, May asked the EU to allow Britain to delay its departure date by three months to June 30, and EU leaders are expected to discuss the matter at a summit on Thursday.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Former Vice President Joe Biden has begun building a presidential campaign ahead of an expected announcement next month that he will vie for the Democratic nomination in 2020, sources familiar with his plans said on Wednesday.

Biden has told supporters and former staff that he will run, according to one source who has knowledge of discussions. Biden and his aides also have reached out to donors and potential bundlers – people who volunteer to raise money on behalf of the candidate – to assess support, according to another source.

A third source with direct knowledge of Biden’s plans offered a caveat, saying the former vice president was very close to running, but “it’s not 100 percent.”

“We’re leaning into that moment” when Biden gives the green light, the source said. Biden, the source said, feels “a very strong sense of responsibility to make sure Donald Trump is not president for a second term.”

The sources asked to remain anonymous because of the confidential nature of the ongoing discussions.

Biden all but gave away his plans last weekend when he spoke at a fundraiser in his home state of Delaware. After referring to himself as part of the field of presidential hopefuls, he corrected himself, saying instead that he could run.

An official bid by Biden could profoundly shake up the sprawling Democratic field, with more than a dozen candidates already seeking to challenge President Donald Trump, the likely Republican nominee.

After 36 years in the U.S. Senate and eight years as vice president under former President Barack Obama, Biden will position himself as the Democratic standard bearer for a party that has moved more to the left than the last time his name appeared alone on a ballot.

Public opinion polls have him as an early favorite, with nearly every measure of early support showing him leading.

But he also will enter the race as Democrats debate the future of the party, with some calling for a fresh-faced liberal to move the party forward and others hoping for a centrist who can heal national divisions. At 76, Biden will be the second oldest candidate in the Democratic primary, after Senator Bernie Sanders. Biden made two unsuccessful bids for the Democratic presidential nomination, in 1988 and 2008.

Waiting until after March 31 to announce his bid will allow Biden to avoid an April 15 deadline for candidates to submit fundraising disclosures about how much money they have raised so far.

If Biden does jump into the race in the final days of March, he would be behind those who have already posted large fundraising totals, like Sanders and former U.S. Representative Beto O’Rourke, who each raised about $6 million their first day in the contest.

The delay in launching also could be to allow Biden time to secure staff.

Mark Putnam, a Democratic advertising and video maker who worked for Obama and several of last year’s successful congressional candidates, was seen last weekend surveying scenes outside Biden’s childhood home in Scranton, Pennsylvania, according to the political news website Politico. He would be a top-tier hire for Biden.

Putnam crafted an ad for the unsuccessful “Draft Biden” movement that tried to convince Biden to run in 2016. His office did not respond to a request for comment about whether he is working for Biden now.
